7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver Wigan Immediate Start

Role: 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver

Location: Wigan, WN5 0LZ

Hours: 6:00am start, approximately 810 hours per day

Pay: £14.40 per hour

Extrastaff are recruiting for 7.5 Tonne Delivery Drivers to work for our Wigan-based client, delivering large household items to customers across the local area. This is ongoing work in a physically demanding, customer-facing role as part of a two-person delivery team.

7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver Benefits:

• Overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate after 40 hours per week

7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver Duties:

• Deliver large and bulky household items, including furniture and appliances, with a colleague
• Complete approximately 30 local deliveries per day, carrying items into the customers room of choice
• Provide a professional, friendly service and keep customers informed
• Take responsibility for vehicle safety and the condition of goods during delivery

7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver Requirements:

• Valid licence to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle (Category C1)
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
