Case Study 2 Wickes Testimonial
At Wickes, we have seen increased demands in recent years due to strong growth within our home improvement and e-commerce departments. As a result the demand for quality candidates uplifted substantially.
We were seeing high staff turnover and due to the demands of the role our previous agency were struggling with suitability. Extrastaff presented us with their solutions which included in depth key performance indicators, focusing mainly on retention and conversions of temporary staff into full time employees, pre site tours to assist with suitability and understanding, accompanied with an in-house front office IT system inclusive of facial recognition time and attendance. This gave us live data including cost reports, on time attendance, retention levels and additional compliance checks.
At present the challenges we faced have reduced dramatically due to Extrastaff’s ability to provide us with their proactive approach. We have seen vast numbers of colleagues join Wickes full time via Extrastaff, giving us a much more stable and skilled workforce. The data is fully transparent via EFOS (Extrastaff Front Office System) which is vital to any large operation. Additionally when volumes do increase last minute Extrastaff have the ability to react efficiently using their onsite team and local branches. The team that support the HDC sites are great, with a friendly, hard working and proactive attitude. I would highly recommend Extrastaff to others.
Case Study 1 – Parcel Distributor Manchester
Extrastaff supply a national parcel and ecommerce business with temporary staff to the majority of its depots and 2 hubs between the South East and Midlands. During its peak period our Operations Director took an urgent call asking us to support a new large depot in the North West as they were experiencing large shortfalls of candidates from their local agency. Our closest Extrastaff location was 100 miles away.
To support we mobilised a senior management and implementation team to site within 48 hours to assess the roles and needs. Using a massive social media launch, our unique online registration process and our centralised resource and compliance teams, we were able to build an immediate working pool. 7 days after the initial request, Extrastaff had 120 colleagues inducted and working on a fixed 3 shift pattern and our mobilised implementation team were on hand to assist with training, to ensure productivity was being maximised quickly. By the end of week 2 we had secured local offices for our new onsite team to induct new workers, so that we could continue to build the pool. At peak, we had 200 colleagues working at that location with our MI solution giving our client relevant and realtime reporting .
Following successful peak supply, Extrastaff were awarded the site as a preferred supplier and continue to supply.
